How many bales of pine straw will I need?
The average bale of pine straw covers approximately 50 square feet.

How long does pine straw last?
Depending on exposure to direct sunlight and soil contact, pine straw will generally last about six months.

How many square feet will a bag of mulch cover?
Generally, a 2 cu. ft. bag will cover about 10 sq. ft. at a depth of 2". Generally, a 3 cu. ft. bag will cover 15 sq. ft. at depth of 2".

Is there a delivery fee?
Yes, our standard delivery fee for a single delivery order is $25.00 (subject to change). For a delivery involving two next door neighbors, we'll split the $25.00 for you. For all deliveries involving three or more homes, there will be a $10.00 delivery fee per home.

Is there a minimum number of bales needed for delivery?
Yes, we require a minimum of 25 bales for delivery. There is a minimum of 35 bales for an installation. Any installation under 50 bales requires a small delivery fee.

What types of pine straw and mulch are available?
There are two types of pine straw:
Slash, the most common type with good color and durability.
Long-leaf (long needle), premium straw with excellent color and durability.

There are several mulches available:
Pine bark mini and regular nuggets (2 and 3 cu. ft. bags)
Pine bark mulch (3 cu. ft. bags)
Florida Gold cypress mulch (2 cu. ft. bags)
Black, redwood or Walnut brown mulch (2 cu. ft. bags)

Should old pine straw be removed before new straw is installed?
No, it is best for both the straw and soil to leave the old straw under the new straw.

How should the area be prepared for the installation of ground cover?
Remove weeds by the root or spray weed killer. Leave old ground cover.

Where are deliveries placed?
Generally deliveries are placed in driveways or existing beds in easily counted rows.

What forms of payment are accepted?
Cash or check.

Yes, we proudly participate in all types of non-profit fundraising events. Call for more information.

What are the hours for pick-up?
Monday-Saturday from 7 a.m.-1 p.m. or by appointment.
